Legend Films Invites Fans to Become a Part of Cinema History

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- For sci-fi movie fans, immortality on the silver screen may be just a mouse click away. From September 29, 2005 through October 5, 2005, Legend Films is sponsoring an eBay auction that will give winners the distinction of having their photo or name in the company's new colorized DVD release of "Plan 9 From Outer Space."

This once-in-a-lifetime auction will give sci-fi enthusiasts a chance to become a part of cinema history with two unique bidding opportunities. Movie fans desiring an eternally famous face can bid to have their photo displayed on a bedroom wall frame in the celebrated Bela Lugosi attack scene. For those who prefer a privilege more permanent than a marquee credit, a second auction offers the winning bidder an engraved tombstone in the cemetery where aliens are reanimating earth's dead.

The Ed Wood classic, available in pre-release on the Legend Films website this December, and at retailers everywhere in 2006, will be completely restored and in color for the first time. The DVD also contains hilarious special features including the lost Plans 1-8, never-before-seen home movies of Ed Wood in drag and an exclusive commentary from Mike Nelson of "Mystery Science Theater 3000."
