CNN en Espanol's Gabriela Frias to Emcee the Latin American Association's 17th Annual Latin Fever Ball: 'Mexico: Serenata de Colores'
ATLANTA, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Latin American Association (LAA) announced today that Gabriela Frias, CNN en Espanol business anchor will emcee this year's Latin Fever Ball: "Mexico: Serenata de Colores." The event will take place on Saturday, September 24th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead and proceeds support LAA's services to Atlanta's Latino community.
Ms. Frias joined CNN en Espanol in Atlanta in early 2000 as a producer for Economia y Finanzas, the network's primetime business news program, and was responsible for the overall creation and content of the daily business newscast. Currently she is producer and presenter of En Efectivo, CNN en Espanol's morning show dedicated to personal finance.

LAA's Executive Director, Maritza Pichon, added "The Latin American Association is honored to have Ms. Frias serve as our emcee. The Latin Fever Ball is Atlanta's premier black tie event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15). Latin Fever is a major fundraising vehicle for the LAA, generating funds for programs such as English as a Second Language classes, employment assistance, immigration, housing, and family services. Over the years the Latin Fever Ball has become well-known for its elegant ambiance, Latin rhythms, and delicious food. The theme of this year's ball is "Mexico: Serenata de Colores," or "Mexico: A Serenade of Colors."

The Latin American Association is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive transitional services for Latinos as they strive for self- sufficiency and an enhanced quality of life.
