PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- CN8, The Comcast Network, a division of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA)(NASDAQ:CMCSK), and its team of award- winning journalists, producers, writers and editors received honors for their outstanding production of original programs and exclusive television specials, winning seven Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards from the National Television Academy. The prestigious awards were given out at a black-tie ceremony held this Saturday, September 17, in Philadelphia. CN8 original programs recognized by the Academy covered topics ranging from politics and news to entertainment and cooking. The shows included: "It's Your Call with Lynn Doyle," "Your Morning," "CN8 News," "Let's Cook," and "Talk Show TV." Broadcast specials, "CN8 Ultimate Wedding" and "Children's Miracle Network Celebration 2004," were also honored. In addition, CN8's Tim Hauenstein received an Emmy for Outstanding Editor/Promotion, and Larry Kane, "Dean of Philadelphia Broadcasting" and CN8 consultant was recognized by the Academy with the 2005 Board of Governors' Award.
