Capital Sports & Entertainment Gathers Fan Feedback at Lollapalooza & AUSTIN CITY LIMITS MUSIC FESTIVAL With Inquisite's Feedback Solution

Inquisite's Real Time Customer Feedback Helps Capital Sports & Entertainment Improve Customer Satisfaction at Events While Measuring Brand Effectiveness and Retention for Sponsors

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- For Capital Sports & Entertainment (CSE) -- an integrated management and marketing firm for athletes, artists, events and entertainment brands -- understanding customers and sponsorship effectiveness take top-billing and are key overall components to the company's success. CSE deployed Inquisite's enterprise feedback and survey solution live using Tablet PCs provided by Motion Computing in July at Chicago's Lollapalooza event which drew more than 60,000 attendees. The immediate feedback from fans has already helped in the planning for next year's concert. Additionally, the onsite feedback generated at the Chicago event prompted CSE to deploy the same technology at the renowned AUSTIN CITY LIMITS MUSIC FESTIVAL which will be held September 23rd-25th at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas.

"The Inquisite feedback application enables us to do many key things. First, we can gauge customer satisfaction and understand our customers' festival experiences, both of which are crucially important to putting on a great event. But also, and just as important, we can measure sponsor awareness in the crowd and gain a better understanding of our own brand's place in the minds of our customers," said Michael Feferman, Director of Marketing Strategy for Capital Sports & Entertainment. "The onsite surveys provided by Inquisite are an invaluable part of our commitment to understanding who our customers are and how they enjoy the experiences that we bring them. In the end, it's all about making our events the best musical experiences possible and ensuring that both music fans and event sponsors get a lot of value out of what we do. Inquisite's feedback capabilities enable us to do this."

Lollapalooza: A One Hit Wonder or a Wonderful Hit?

When CSE began promoting the Lollapalooza event, the power of the Lollapalooza brand and market equity had decreased from previous years, which led to some confusion over the event's reputation and long-term viability. Prior to Lollapalooza, CSE conducted only post-event surveys to understand participant demographics, measure various aspects of customer satisfaction and market perception, and add measurable results for event sponsors. However, CSE did not have the ability to truly capture customer concerns as they were occurring at the event nor could they provide any real-time intelligence on sponsorship recognition.

By teaming with Inquisite for Lollapalooza, CSE was able to gather feedback during the event that provided unaided sponsor and market recall data for sponsors and a more accurate understanding of the customer's real-time event experience, including what percentage of people visited certain elements of the show, how long they waited, and their overall satisfaction with Lollapalooza. These demographics are valuable in terms of knowing the audience and how to reach them. CSE also gained important information on how out-of-town visitors traveled to the event, where they stayed and what they did while they were in town, which was helpful in understanding the economic impact to the city from customers who traveled to Chicago. CSE compiled the survey data through a comprehensive post-event recap and then shared it with sponsors, event and city members. The feedback gathered during the festival coupled with the post-event evaluation proved that the cultural significance and brand awareness of Lollapalooza was expected to prevail in years to come.

"CSE's use of onsite, real-time surveys is a good example of the strategic importance of customer feedback and the increasing importance for organizations to measure and predict a customer's attitude toward a company and/or its products and brand in real-time," said Arturo Coto, CEO of Inquisite. "Our feedback management solution was valuable to CSE in helping corporate sponsors justify their investment, create a case for future participation, and ensure that cultural events such as the AUSTIN CITY LIMITS MUSIC FESTIVAL and Lollapalooza continue to amaze and entertain audiences of all ages."
