Local CCMG Promoters Launch Concert Ticket Auctions, Cash Fundraisers, Food and Supply Drives and More

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Clear Channel Music Group's relief efforts for victims effected by Hurricane Katrina, the Company's local promoter business units have created special benefit concerts and relief drives at its amphitheaters and live concert venues nationwide.

"Clear Channel Music Group is participating in local relief efforts by creating a variety of benefit concerts and local relief drives across each of our concert venues and live shows to help Hurricane Katrina victims," said Michael Rapino, chief executive officer of Clear Channel Entertainment. "Our local promoters have been extremely active. They've teamed with artists, local communities and relief organizations to donate proceeds from concerts, ticket auctions and on-site donation booths to raise money and supplies."

Avalon Attractions: Hyundai Pavilion, Los Angeles: KROQ's Miller Lite Inland Invasion (September 17) * Auctioning of 100 tickets at $1,000.00.

Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Los Angeles: Power 106's Comedy Fiesta featuring Carlos Mencia, D.L. Hughley, Tracy Morgan, Charlie Murphy, Pablo Francisco, Gabriel Iglesias, Willie Barcena, Russell Peters, Lisa Lampanelli, Steve Trevino, Brad Williams (September 25) * $1.00 from every ticket sold will go to the American Red Cross. KZLA Country Bash '05 featuring Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, The Warren Brothers, Bobby Pinson, Hanna/McEuen, Deana Carter (October 22) * $1.00 from every ticket sold will go to the American Red Cross.

The Wiltern LG, Los Angeles: Concert for Katrina Relief featuring Fiona Apple, David Cross, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Jesse Hughes, Sarah Silverman, Tenacious D (September 22) * All net proceeds to benefit American Red Cross

Belkin Productions: Tower City Amphitheater, Cleveland: Bigelow Chevrolet Taste of Cleveland (September 3) * Auctioned 2 sets front row seats for Michael McDonald and meet-and- greets on WDOK and WMVX.

Tower City Amphitheater, Cleveland: Bigelow Chevrolet Taste of Cleveland (September 5) * $1.00 from each admission ticket sold for the Monday Sept. 5 event date was donated to American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. American Red Cross tables also set up at the event for personal donations and a pair of front row tickets for Rick Springfield was auctioned.

Germain Amphitheater, Columbus: Alan Jackson (September 8) * All proceeds from the show donated to the American Red Cross. The venue also collected canned goods, non-perishable items and cash donations.

Toledo Sports Arena, Toledo: 3 Doors Down (October 26) * $1 for every ticket sold will go to 3 Doors Down "The Better Life Foundation" charity.

Youngstown Convention Center, Youngstown: 3 Doors Down (October 29) * $1 for every ticket sold will go to 3 Doors Down "The Better Life Foundation" charity.

Bill Graham Presents: Bill Graham Presents (BGP) is donating various concert tickets to local radio stations in all BGP markets for fundraisers. American Red Cross booths will be set up at all shows to collect donations at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and the Chronicle Pavilion.

Clark County Amphitheater, Portland: Gigantour featuring Megadeth, Anthrax, Dream Theater, Fear Factory, Nevermore, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Life Of Agony, Symphony, Dry Kill Logic, Bobaflex (September 11) * $5 will be donated for every ticket sold. Shoe and clothing drive will be conducted at the show.

Midwest Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Kansas City: Dave Matthews Band (September 7) * Teamed with KZPL to offer anyone who gave money to the American Red Cross and sent a copy of the receipt to the station were entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets. John Mellencamp and John Fogerty (September 12) * Teamed up with KYYS to auction a pair of seats and meet-and-greet with the artist.
