Yelp to Pull Sponsorship from 'The Ultimate Ultimate Challenge' Reality Show
SAN FRANCISCO, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the San Francisco-based Internet company, Yelp (http://www.yelp.com/) pulled their sponsorship from "The Ultimate Ultimate Challenge," a new "extreme" reality show being produced by Kevin Blatt, distributor of the Paris Hilton tapes and, more recently, the Colin Farrell Adult Tape. Yelp has refused to elaborate on the exact reason for severing ties with the production but in a statement delivered Wednesday evening said that the affiliation with the production company is not a good fit for the startup.
"Yelp is a rapidly-expanding local review site driven by a strong community of members." Yelp's publicist went on to say that, "The community is an important and integral part of who Yelp is as a company and what this reality show seems to be developing into is not exactly in line with our goals at this time."
