QVC Celebrates Time-Honored Traditions of Hispanic Culture in a Special Anniversary Show for 'Latin Treasures' Jewelry

August Marks the First Anniversary for the Symbolic Jewelry Collection on QVC

WEST CHESTER, Pa., July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Honoring the enduring, rich customs of the Hispanic culture, QVC introduced the "Latin Treasures" jewelry line in August 2004 and is now set to celebrate its success in a one-year anniversary show featuring new items and precious favorites. On August 8, 2005 at 1 AM (ET), QVC will present a special two-hour show with guest Rene Bargueiras, creator of the religious-inspired gold collection.

Capturing the timeless traditions of faith and cultural pride, "Latin Treasures" adds an important variety to QVC's extensive jewelry offering. Since premiering on QVC last August, the collection has built a strong customer base with particular success surrounding popular Latin holidays like Our Lady of Guadalupe Day (December 12). Many of the "Latin Treasures" pieces are also designed as gifts for important cultural celebrations, such as the quinceanera, which recognizes a young girl's entry into womanhood.

"As a member of the Latin community I understand the value and significance that gold jewelry represents within our culture, especially to those who are immigrants to the United States, as I am. For many, this type of jewelry is used not only as an accessory, but also as a direct expression of hard work, prestige and committed faith," says Bargueiras.

Designed in 14K gold, the "Latin Treasures" collection features pieces in yellow gold, two-toned and tri-colored styles. With a variety of pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings, the prices range from approximately $31 to approximately $209.

"QVC recognizes the importance of culture, family and religion in the Hispanic community and is proud to offer a jewelry line that embodies the same sense of meaning. The preservation of tradition and cultural heritage lay at the heart of 'Latin Treasures' and we're looking forward to celebrating its first anniversary on QVC by offering some great new pieces," stated Karen Fonner, QVC's director of merchandising for gold, watches and costume jewelry.

Tune in on August 8 at 1 AM (ET) as Bargueiras and QVC host Jacque Gonzales present the special "Latin Treasures" anniversary show. The Latin Treasures jewelry collection is available through QVC at 800.345.1515 and http://www.qvc.com/.
