NETC Announces Request to CVM of the Register for Its 5th Debentures Issuance

SAO PAULO, Brazil, July 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Net Servicos de Comunicacao S.A. (Nasdaq: NETC; Bovespa: NETC4 and NETC3; and Latibex: XNET) the largest Pay-TV multi-service operator in Latin America, and an important provider of bi-directional broadband Internet access (Virtua), informs that on July 28, 2005, the Company requested to CVM the register for its 5th debentures issuance.

Through this issuance, the Company aims to replace the current outstanding debt resulting in longer maturity, foreign exchange risk elimination and removal of certain existing obligations, which could limit its growth in a more stable operational scenario.
