Gentle Giant and DRT Recall Interview Album
NEW YORK, July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Iconic progressive rock band Gentle Giant are currently celebrating the 35th anniversary of their formation with the release of seven of their most popular albums, all re-mastered and re-packaged in a special 35th anniversary edition and containing previously unreleased material. Unfortunately, due to a mistake by the manufacturer, the 35th anniversary edition of Interview, which in-stored on June 21, was produced in mono and will be pulled from all store shelves. To rectify this situation DRT is offering to exchange the defective album for the newly remastered version of Interview, the way the band meant it to be. Anyone who wishes to exchange their mono version of Interview can send it directly to DRT and they will be sent the newly remastered Interview, personally autographed by Gentle Giant's Derek Shulman. Interview is now set for a September re-release.
The first two anniversary releases, Free Hand (containing the previously unreleased live version of "Just The Same"), and In A Glass House, one of the band's most popular albums never before available in the U.S., both hit stores May 10. The remastered version of The Power and the Glory in-stored on June 21.
The 35th anniversary re-releases of Giant for a Day (1978), The Missing Piece (1977) and Playing The Fool (1977), a double live album, will be available in August. A Gentle Giant anthology and a DVD of concert footage shot across Europe in 1974, as well as an interview from Italian TV, are also scheduled for an October release.
