Fiskars Announces Winner of Fiskars(R) Get Ready, Craft!(SM) Contest

MADISON, Wis., July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiskars Brands, Inc. today announced the winner of the Fiskars(R) Get Ready, Craft!(SM) Contest. The Grand Prize Winner is Kate Parker from McKinney, Texas. She will be enjoying Fiskars(R) Craft 5-Piece Storage System and $1,000 in Fiskars(R) papercrafting tools. She will also be featured on the PBS show "Scrapbook Memories."

"Papercrafting is a passion," said Suzanne Fanning, Senior Manager, Public Relations for Fiskars School, Office & Craft. "Our winner, and all the contestants here today, are wonderful examples of what can happen when a little imagination and creativity are combined with some tools and techniques. It's extraordinary to see what these women were able to create in less than two hours!"

Laurie Smith from Trading Spaces hosted the live, two-hour event at the Craft & Hobby Association Show in Chicago, Ill. In addition to awarding the Grand Prize to Ms. Parker, Ms. Smith awarded the following prizes to the other four contestants who made it to the final Craft-Off:

2nd Place Prize Winner - Melissa Reynolds, Waltham, Mass. - She will receive the Fiskars(R) Ultimate Rolling Organizer and $500 in Fiskars(R) papercrafting tools.

3rd Place Prize Winner - Laurie Singelyn, Commerce, MI; 4th Place Prize Winner - Aimee Woolsey, Fairborn, OH; 5th Place Prize Winner - Thespoena McLaughlin, Springdale, Ark. - These winners will each be enjoying a Fiskars(R) Universal Organizer plus $250 in Fiskars(R) papercrafting tools.
