Comcast Corporation Names Diane Dietz Senior Director of Public Affairs and Vice President, The Comcast Foundation
PHILADELPHIA, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA)(NASDAQ:CMCSK), the country's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, announced today that Diane Dietz has been appointed Senior Director of Public Affairs and Vice President of The Comcast Foundation.

In her new position, Dietz will direct the company's public affairs activities, including its national community investment and outreach initiatives. She also will oversee The Comcast Foundation, which provides financial support for organizations and programs that work to strengthen the communities Comcast serves. She will report to Joseph W. Waz, Jr., Vice President of External Affairs, and begin her new role in mid-July.

Dietz joined Comcast in 1996. In her current capacity as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Comcast's Midwest Division, Diane is responsible for the development and management of internal and external communications initiatives as well as the community investments efforts. Prior to joining Comcast, she served as Vice President of Corporate and Legal Affairs for Continental Cablevision's Midwest Region and as an attorney at several law firms in Michigan. She holds a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich., and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. She will relocate to Philadelphia from Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
The Comcast Foundation was established by Comcast in 1999 and is the company's chief source of charitable support to qualified non-profit organizations. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $18 million in grants to non-profit organizations in Comcast communities nationwide. Comcast supports numerous local and national organizations such as The United Way, City Year and The Partnership for a Drug-Free America, and uses its resources to bring visibility to important issues. In addition, Comcast Cares Day, the company's annual day of service, brings together 30,000 Comcast employees and their families to volunteer on a Saturday in October in their local communities.
