Technology Veterans Join Forces to Launch Fluid Audio Networks

Los Angeles Based Company Offers Online Music Service to Be Licensed by Major Entertainment Companies

LOS ANGELES, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Fluid Audio Networks (FAN) is a Los Angeles based Internet startup which has developed a platform for democratizing the music business by tapping into the expanding digital self-publishing space. FAN is building the largest network of emerging artists and music fans by partnering with some of the world's most recognized entertainment brands. The company is already in talks with several high-profile brands and plans to announce its first partnership at the end of June at Licensing International 2005 in New York.

The company was launched by a team of veterans in the Internet and technology space, led by Justin Beckett who has 20 years of experience investing in and launching entrepreneurial ventures. Most recently Justin sold the highly popular online gaming company SkillJam Technologies, which he founded in 2000, to Fun Technologies.

Justin will serve as the new company's CEO, joined by Bob Buch, COO, who was the founder and President of AimTV, an Internet based advertising firm sold for $25 million to Netzero Inc. in the late nineties. Buch also worked in business development for Macromedia Inc., the world's leading maker of website development software. Beckett and Buch are joined by two other founding members James Williams, CTO, and Michael Raeford, CMO, both veterans of the Internet application space.

"While observing the evolution in convergent media, we saw an opportunity to develop practical applications that would facilitate and optimize this convergence. In particular we identified a need for a self publishing application that would exploit the vast distributive power of the Internet. Subsequently our initial product will allow users to self-publish and mass promote various forms of entertainment," says Justin Beckett, CEO and founder of Fluid Audio Networks. "We are now negotiating with several major entertainment companies, and will announce partnerships within the next several weeks."

The company has a 20 person team currently, with an expectation to ramp up hiring in technology, development and marketing in the near term. The company also offers mentorship programs for regional college students seeking entertainment industry experience. More details on the company and its founders are available at www.fluidaudio.com
