TBWA\Chiat\Day San Francisco Leads the World in Film Lions at the 52nd Cannes International Advertising Festival
Agency wins three gold Lions, two silver Lions and a bronze Lion for adidas
SAN FRANCISCO, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- TBWA\Chiat\Day San Francisco was the most awarded agency in the film category at the 52nd Annual Cannes International Advertising Festival. The agency won a total of six lions: three gold, two silver and a bronze for its work with adidas.
Five different commercials produced by the agency were recognized:
* "Hello Tomorrow" directed by Spike Jonze with music composed by Sam Spiegel featuring Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, received two gold Lions including the only award given in the music category for branded entertainment. The music cracked the top ten on iTunes for three weeks and was picked by Rolling Stones editors as a top #5 track to watch.
* "Unstoppable" featuring Tracy McGrady taking on a miniature army received a gold Lion
* "Improvisation" featuring Chauncey Billups being attacked by an angry basketball court received a silver Lion
* "Made To Perfection" featuring Tracy McGrady, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett received a silver Lion
* "Carry" featuring Kevin Garnett carrying the whole world on his shoulders received a bronze Lion
"The awards are recognition of the great partnership we have with adidas and our partner agency 180 Amsterdam. The TBWA network won a total of 40 awards including a Grand Prix and Agency of the Year for TBWA\Paris office. In total the TBWA won one Grand Prix, 11 gold Lions, 11 silver lions, 15 bronze, one Grand Prix and Agency of the Year.
