Outdoor Channel Enters VOD Market With TVN

Network Completes Host of Consumer Products

TEMECULA, Calif., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Outdoor Channel(R) (TOC) today announced its entry into the VOD market through a multi-year services agreement with TVN Entertainment Corporation (TVN), the leading provider of on demand television programming, management and delivery solutions. Under the agreement, TVN will be TOC's Preferred Partner for VOD Services including encoding, distribution, and asset management services.

'Outdoor Channel On Demand,' initially offered in standard-definition, will include favorites from the Channel's current lineup, gems from the TOC library, and select bonus product such as special events and series.

TOC recently "soft launched" its new high-definition network -- Outdoor Channel 2 HD -- to cable and satellite operators, making its HD signal immediately available to affiliates across the country. Outdoor Channel 2 HD plans to next launch a full media and marketing campaign to consumers on July 1st. The new, all HD network will offer exclusive new content filmed entirely in high-definition, in addition to select fan favorites from the existing 'The Outdoor Channel,' all filmed entirely in real (not up-converted), high-definition.
