It's All Shiny and New
VH1 Premieres/Encores for the Week of June 3 - June 9 2005
NEW YORK, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Check out all of the brand new premieres headed to VH1 and VH1 Classic this week:
VH1 HITS "HIGH SPEED"
"VH1 STORYTELLERS: COLDPLAY" PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8 AT 10PM*
Credited with the reinvigoration of "VH1 Storytellers" which was off the air for more then three years, the British rock group "Coldplay" gave an intimate yet rousing performance, often bringing the crowd to its feet for a taping of the series on May 16 at the BAM Harvey Theatre in Brooklyn. "VH1 Storytellers: Coldplay" premieres Wednesday, June 8 at 10pm. Coldplay joins Green Day and Bruce Springsteen as the most recent artists to take the stage and share their stories.
The episode treats fans to a unique experience as Coldplay performs new songs from their upcoming album X&Y in addition to their previous hits. At the request of the band who wanted a "Storytellers" episode to coincide with the release of their new album, the series was brought back after a hiatus from the channel. In quintessential "Storytellers" form, the band (Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman) answers questions from fans and in a new interview gives an honest and revealing look at the stories behind the songs and their new album X&Y.
Viewers will get a unique opportunity to hear the inspiration and stories behind such hits as "Clocks," "Yellow," "Politik," "Scientist," "In My Place" and from their new album "Speed of Sound" and "Fix You."

On Friday, June 3 "BSTV: Lapdance Island"
On this episode, a sea of men audition for the chance to be on Lap Dance Island, a totally fake reality show set on an island inhibited entirely by ... lap dancers! The simple rule is, 'You can look but you can't touch' - and that may be quite a lot to ask from some of these g-string-crazed hopefuls. Heidi Bressler, one of The Donald's many Apprentice victims, has agreed to appear on Have Your Cake and Greet It!, a pie load of crap that will have her popping out of a giant birthday cake and surprising a huge (fake!) fan. But when a fight breaks out mid-pop, will Heidi stay in the ring? Then, Erik Estrada, star of Chips and The Surreal Life, agrees to deliver a bouquet of flowers to his fakest fan on the absolutely awful reality show, You're Not My Florist! Of course, Erik thinks the fan and the show are 100% real. This and much more on "BSTV."

Tuesday, June 7 "The Fabulous Life of Miami"
If Hollywood is where celebrities work, then Miami is where they go to play. Hot days on the beach, steamy nights on the strip; on any given day Miami is power-packed with A-list stars in pimped-out cars cruising for sun, surf and non-stop parties. When celebrities like Beyonce or Jessica Simpson come to town they make themselves at home. And what's more comfortable than a $25,000-a-night penthouse, a brand new Bentley GT or use of a mega-yacht for an afternoon cruise? Because when you're flying high in Miami, life isn't just great, it's fabulous.
