People vs. the Pros, where amateurs compete head-to-head for $300,000 against professionals from the PGA Tour and Champions Tour in a unique reality television golf event on ESPN, returns for the third year and will be hosted by Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas on Sept. 9-12, 2005. Amateurs from two divisions -- 18-49 and 50+ -- will compete against Justin Leonard and Ben Crenshaw for a grand prize of $100,000; runners-up receive $50,000.

The guaranteed player slots on eBay are being sold for $1,500 each. Players must be 18 years of age or older and have an established index by May 1, 2005, which is endorsed by the USGA or RCGA. A limited number of slots are also available by calling toll free 1-877-257-3184.

In addition, 20 player slots are being given away in a sweepstakes on the event's web site: http://www.pvpgolf.com/ . Entries are being taken from May 1 to July 14, 2005 and are limited to one per person. The random drawing will be held on or about July 21, 2005, from among all eligible online entrants.
