Thursday Press Conference Announced to Highlight Upcoming Hay Yin Asian Fusion Cook-Off
Press Event Will Include Highlights and Tastings From Selected Menus by Participating Chefs
SAN FRANCISCO, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- This Thursday (May 5) a press conference will be held to focus on the upcoming Hay Yin Asian Fusion Cook-Off. This unique San Francisco event will be held on Friday, May 13 and feature chefs from 12 of the City's most famous Asian fusion restaurants -- demonstrating their culinary skills throughout the evening. Attendees will be able to sample creations and wine pairings from each restaurant.
Media sponsors of the event, radio station KOIT (FM96.5), KTSF-TV (Channel 26, cable 8) and Sing Tao Daily, proudly presents this press conference to provide further details about the event and will be joined by most of the 12 chefs (listed below) who will be performing at the cook-off. Chefs attending the press conference will be available for interviews and will provide samples of the fusion fare they will prepare for participants at the actual Hay Yin Asian Fusion Cook-Off event.

The Hay Yin (meaning "joyful banquet") Asian Fusion Cook-Off will take place 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum on Larkin Street and will feature tastings of Asian Fusion cuisine from 12 famous local chefs, wine pairings, art and live entertainment from The Murasaki Ensemble. The event is sponsored by Smart & Final stores. A portion of the contributions from the event will go to the Asian Pacific Islander Health & Wellness Center -- a community center for sexual and HIV/AIDS services in San Francisco. Limited tickets are available and can be obtained online through TicketWeb @ www.ticketweb.com for $95 per person.
