Sarah McLachlan and Robbie Robertson Re-Record 'World on Fire' for TNT's INTO THE WEST

Song and Music Video to Promote Original Limited Series Set to Premiere June 10

ATLANTA, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Multi-platinum and Grammy-winning recording artist Sarah McLachlan has re-recorded her chart-topping single "World on Fire" as a duet with Robbie Robertson, to promote the Turner Network Television (TNT) six-week television event INTO THE WEST. A music video for "World on Fire," directed by Paul Fedor and featuring McLachlan, Robertson and clips from the series, has also been created to promote INTO THE WEST, which will premiere on TNT on June 10.

INTO THE WEST, an epic six-week limited series produced by TNT in association with DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg, tells the colossal story of the opening of the American West, a dramatic, personal tale of the adventurous exploration of the American wilderness, the clash of two cultures, the rush to riches in a new land and the building of a new civilization. This landmark production, the largest ever undertaken by TNT, is co-executive-produced by Darryl Frank (Taken, Las Vegas) and Justin Falvey (Las Vegas), co-heads of DreamWorks Television, and William Mastrosimone (Sinatra, The Burning Season), who also wrote the overall story for the series and the scripts for three of its installments. David A. Rosemont, executive producer of TNT's Purgatory and Emmy(R)-winning Door to Door, serves as producer for the project and Kirk Ellis (Anne Frank) is the supervising producer.

INTO THE WEST features an enormous cast headed by Matthew Settle (U-571, Band of Brothers); Skeet Ulrich (Miracles, As Good as It Gets); Michael Spears (Dances with Wolves, TNT's Broken Chain); Tonantzin Carmelo (King Rikki, 187 Shadow Lane); George Leach (DreamKeeper, After the Harvest); and Zahn McClarnon (TNT's Crazy Horse and Cooperstown). Each two-hour episode will be featured in a three-play weekend, airing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Sarah McLachlan's current studio album, Afterglow, entered the Billboard chart at #2 upon its release last year and has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. The album spawned the hit singles "Fallen," "Stupid" and "World on Fire" and earned McLachlan a Grammy nomination in the Best Female Pop Vocal Category. Her new CD/DVD release Afterglow Live chronicles McLachlan's summer tour, and has passed the double platinum mark for music DVDs. The second leg of her first North American Tour in more than five years kicked off April 12 in Victoria, B.C. and will run through May 25 in Pittsburgh.

The son of a Mohawk mother, Robbie Robertson first experienced live music at his mother's girlhood home - Six Nations Reservation in Ontario, Canada. He started taking guitar lessons at age 6 and soon after began writing songs. As guitarist and songwriter for The Band, Bob Dylan's one-time back-up quintet, Robertson is legendary in rock songwriting and has also had a long association with Martin Scorsese, composing the score for films including Raging Bull and The Color of Money. In 1998, Robertson was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Native American Music Awards for helping to open the door to the music industry for Native Americans.
