Multiple Plastic Surgery Procedures to be Performed Before a Live TV Audience

AUSTIN, Texas, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- A variety of plastic surgery procedures will be performed before a live television audience on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, April 16-18 from the Austin, Texas clinic of internationally recognized Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Robert Ersek.

A London TV crew will be broadcasting a live feed of the procedures via satellite to audiences all over the UK as part of a television show called "Plastic Surgery Live."

The procedures will be performed under completely safe conditions by Dr. Robert Ersek. Ersek gained international attention last August when he performed liposuction upon himself to publicize the fact that stem cells from fat can now be stored for future use to help the healing process in case of severe injuries.

The surgeries will be performed beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, Sunday, April 17 and Monday, April 18. The procedures include a pectoral implant on a male patient, a breast augmentation and a major liposuction case.

In an unrelated event, The Discovery Health Channel will be filming Dr. Ersek as he performs a face lift, brow lift, eye lift, chin implant and nose job on a patient beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2005. This patient was the winner of a local Austin radio station contest held on KKMJ Majic 95.5.

Reporters and camera crews are welcome to cover these events as long as they agree to wear a gown and mask during the procedures.
