Delivers High-Speed Data Network Supporting More Than 50 Television Channels in Australia, U.S. and Europe

SYDNEY, Australia, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- MCI (NASDAQ:MCIP) today announced that UBI WORLD TV, Australia's premier direct-to-home television broadcaster, has signed a three-year contract with MCI Australia for high- speed international private line data services. The agreement extends the companies' existing relationship and expands the services that MCI provides to link UBI WORLD TV programming operations on three continents.

MCI is providing UBI WORLD TV with increased bandwidth and connections linking the TV network's facilities in Australia to the U.S. (Los Angeles and New York City) and Europe via MCI Global Data Link service. By upgrading its international data network infrastructure with MCI, UBI WORLD TV is now able to easily stream programming content to and from the U.S. and Europe for more than fifty 24-hour video channels with maximum reliability and cost efficiency.
