'Remaking: Vanilla Ice' Premieres Sunday May 1 10:00PM*
In the early 90s Vanilla Ice was on top of his game and on top of the charts and known as the second white rapper to make it big with his hit single "Ice Ice Baby."
For three months, Vanilla Ice aka Rob Van Winkle worked with award-winning trainers, rock star stylists, and hip choreographers, as well as mega-music producers Trak Starz to record a new single, "Dunn That." Ice was also paired with a life coach and enters a training program to help manage his trust issues. Throughout the hour-long special viewers will see if Ice can overcome his anger and trust issues, and cut back on drinking and smoking. Will Ice make the ultimate transformation from melted ice to cold ice in time for his comeback performance at LA's famed Knitting Factory, find out during VH1's "Remaking: Vanilla Ice," premiering on Sunday, May 1 at 10:00 PM.*
"Remaking" is a series of specials that seeks to improve the careers and lives of artists through various forms of transformation. In each special, an artist goes through 90 days of hands-on interaction with a specially selected team of experts who take them through the sometimes comic, emotional, but always intense transformation, which may involve anything from therapy to plastic surgery, exercise, style renovation and musical reinvention. Upcoming episodes include Jodi Watley.
