HBO and Charter Communications Present the Premiere of HBO Films' WARM SPRINGS, Filmed in Its Entirety in Georgia

Screening at The Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute For Rehabilitation

Executive Producer Celia Costas, Screenwriter Margaret Nagle and Producer Chrisann Verges Are Scheduled To Attend.

WARM SPRINGS, Ga., April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- WHAT: The riveting story of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's struggle with polio and his treatment at Warm Springs is the subject of the intimate HBO film WARM SPRINGS, to premiere on Tuesday, April 12 at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. In attendance for the invitation-only premiere will be the film's executive producer Celia Costas, screenwriter, Margaret Nagle and producer Chrisann Verges. The premiere is presented in partnership with the Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation Institute. WARM SPRINGS was filmed in its entirety in Georgia.

WHY: Starring Kenneth Branagh (Emmy winner for HBO's "Conspiracy") and Cynthia Nixon (Emmy winner for HBO's "Sex and the City"), the film follows Franklin Delano Roosevelt, left a paraplegic at age 39, as he seeks out a miracle cure in the backwoods of rural Georgia. There he encounters the lives of those not only affected by the disability but also by poverty, illiteracy and racism. In time he comes to learn that though he may not walk again, he can still lead. In Warm Springs a future four-time American president finds his personal and political soul. WARM SPRINGS debuts on Saturday, April 30 at (8 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT).
