Charter to Carry ALTERNA'TV Channels

ST. LOUIS and MEXICO CITY, April 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) and ALTERNA'TV today announced a distribution agreement in which targeted ALTERNA'TV channels will be added into the Charter Latino Digital package in select markets. Charter Latino offers a wide variety of in-language and English programming, a digital receiver with access to Charter OnDemand(TM) digital music and an interactive program guide. ALTERNA'TV offers eight channels of Spanish language programming, covering news, sports, arts and entertainment.

"This contract consolidates the channels ALTERNA'TV currently distributes in the United States," said Clemente Cabello, Executive Director of ALTERNA'TV. "Our agreement with Charter will translate into a relevant offering of programming for the Hispanic market eager to watch television channels directly from its country of origin."

The agreement allows Charter Communications to add to its Charter Latino Digital package, a selection of Latin American channels currently broadcast in the principal Hispanic markets of the U.S. The agreement also provides for placing ALTERNA'TV programming on the Charter OnDemand(TM) platform, an expansive library of movies, premium channel shows, sports, music and more Spanish language programs available for viewing whenever a customer wants. A Charter Latino Digital customer can access the programming from ALTERNA'TV through Charter OnDemand(TM) at no additional cost.
