Grand Prize Winner to Receive Trip for Six to New York to Attend Taping of Celebrity Chef Rachael Ray's '30 Minute Meals'

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Pepperidge Farm are joining forces to promote the April 19, 2005 DVD release of the blockbuster comedy "Meet the Fockers," it was announced today by Ken Graffeo, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Universal Studios Home Entertainment, and Pat Callaghan, Senior Vice President, Meals and Accompaniments of Pepperidge Farm.

The promotion will feature a Pepperidge Farm sweepstakes, offering consumers a chance to entertain their families with a three-day trip for six to New York City. While in New York, the winners will attend a taping of celebrity chef Rachael Ray's "30 Minute Meals" airing on the Food Network, and receive other prizes. The program will be supported by:

* A free standing insert (FSI) reaching 20 million households that will offer a valuable coupon good towards the purchase of "Meet the Fockers" on DVD or VHS when a Pepperidge Farm frozen food product is purchased. * DVD on-pack stickers promoting the sweepstakes in grocery chains nationwide on millions of units with an instant redeemable coupon for two dollars off the purchase of any two Pepperidge Farm products. * Freezer clings and point-of-sale corrugate lug-ons in top grocers nationwide that will highlight the DVD's release date. * Promotional microsite with links on meetthefockers.com and pepperidgefarm.com.

The sweepstakes Grand Prize winner will also receive six Rachael Ray cookbooks and $250 worth of Pepperidge Farm products. Five first-prize winners will win cooking classes at local Williams Sonoma stores or $100 Williams Sonoma gift certificates. One hundred second prize winners will receive a "Meet the Fockers" DVD and Rachael Ray cookbooks. The sweepstakes, open to legal residents 18 years or older, ends on June 30, 2005. To further extend the partnership, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will launch a 50-market "Meet the Fockers" DVD radio promotion in April 2005, featuring over a thousand Pepperidge Farm "Dinner and a Movie" prize packs. Winners of the radio promotion will win a "Meet the Fockers" DVD and dinner, featuring delicious Pepperidge Farm frozen products.

"Meet the Fockers," the highest-grossing live-action comedy of all time, makes its DVD debut April 19, 2005 and is packed with bonus material including 65 bloopers and 10 more deleted scenes. The sequel to Universal's 2000 comedy smash "Meet the Parents," it stars Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo. The DVD is priced at $29.98 SRP; the VHS is $23.98.
