- Top London Love Doctor is London's 'Hitch'

"Hitch" is a romantic comedy which stars Will Smith as a New York City date doctor who, for a fee, has helped hundreds of men woo the women of their dreams. It has topped the US box office two weeks running and is being released in the UK on March 11, 2005. Hitch's key selling point is that he coaches for love, not one-night stands.

The UK has its own real life Hitch - love doctor Sam van Rood. Sam has helped over 500 Londoners learn the signals of love and how to spot and attract the partners they want. Just like Hitch, Sam works one to one with singletons who need a love boost to switch them on. The sessions enhance their confidence, flirting skills and sexiness to help find their perfect partner. One of his clients even pulled on the tube!

'I've met a girl who is everything that I've been looking for. She is stunning, warm hearted, genuine and very intelligent. I thank you once again for your coaching, for without it, I would not have been able to recognise her attraction for me.' wrote Mal a client.

Unlike Hitch, Sam also works with women. Helen, one of his clients, said:

'I was really tired of feeling closed off and afraid of getting hurt for so long. You managed to switch me back on and I am really grateful. I am definitely in the race now!'

Most recently during Valentine's week, customers were treated to advice from Sam in 'Dr Love's Surgery' in Harrods' front window. At Microsoft's Christmas party, Sam's skills were used to add some spice and provide advice on getting hitched. Sam also works for some of London's leading singles and events companies including Single Solution, Cosmo Party, Gorgeous Networks and Dr Party. Since most relationship experts are female, Sam also provides an unusual male perspective on the dating and love scene.

"I believe there is someone for everyone - but to find that person it is essential to know the rules of the game: you must look and sound confident and at the same time feel sexy. Like Hitch, I can teach you how!" said Sam

Sam has been featured in The Independent, The Daily Mail, The Metro and More Magazine. He will also be appearing this summer in the TV series 'What women want'. Sam, who was named by Cosmopolitan magazine as one of Australia's most successful young people under 30, has been working in London for over 4 years as a lifestyle consultant specialising in sex and flirting.
