Snow This Spring: Snow Patrol Touring North America

Snow This Spring: Snow Patrol Touring North America

NEW YORK, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- You know you totally still hear Snow Patrol's addictive single Run playing in your head from time to time. You stop, you think back to the first time you heard the band's sensational breakthrough record Final Straw -- way way back in 2004 -- and you wonder what's been going on with those guys. You ponder the question: "When will I next see them play live?" You think to yourself: "I hope they record a new record soon." You sigh.

Well, the wait is finally over! Snow Patrol has sufficiently recovered from an explosive year that saw them tour insatiably and attain unprecedented record sales and worldwide attention. The significance of this band was recognized by everyone from the Meteor Ireland Music Awards (won for Best Irish Band, and Best Irish Album) to the Brit Awards (nominated for Best British Group, Best British Album, and Best British Rock Act) to the NME Awards (nominated for Best British Band.)

That's all in the past though. Now Snow Patrol are holed up in rural Ireland writing songs for their new record and preparing for their upcoming U.S. tour, which begins on April 23rd in Woodlands, Texas, and concludes May 31st in New Orleans. The tour includes a coveted spot on the bill at the Coachella Festival in Indio, California on April 30th. Oh, and post-U.S. tour it's not like Snow Patrol is heading home to sip tea and hang out in their Pajamas at home, instead they'll be opening up for U2 on several dates during the iconic Irish rockers' summer European tour. And as we all know, once a band plays that U2 slot it's a whole new world. Check out the dates below.
