LDSAudio.com to Offer Support to Emerging and Established LDS Recording Artists
OREM, Utah, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- LDSAudio.com, the only diversified download site on the Web for digital LDS audio books, talks, and music is joining with the LDS music establishment to help foster growth in the industry and make the music of talented LDS artists available to a wider audience. The company will co-sponsor two major industry events in the coming months: Highway Records' Utah's Next talent search and the PEARL Awards, a Grammy-style production of the Faith Centered Music Association (FCMA) "recognizing excellence in enriching entertainment."
In sponsoring these events, LDSAudio.com will provide digital download services to Highway Records and FCMA. For Highway Records, the Web site will make the Utah's Next award winner's 4-track album available online for public consumption. For the PEARL Awards, the company will accept digital submissions from nominated artists and provide online sampling and feedback services both for judges and the general public.
The company currently offers online music distribution through its website (www.ldsaudio.com) for most of the major LDS producers, including Deseret Book's entertainment labels (Excel, Highway Records, Shadow Mountain, etc.), Sounds of Zion, Tantara, Prime and others.
"As a unique distribution outlet for LDS music, audio programs, and eventually film and video, we think it's important to be an active participant in the growing LDS entertainment and publishing industries," says Neal Bergstrom, VP of Operations and Content Acquisition at LDSAudio. "We certainly can't take the place of record companies in developing and promoting new talent, but we believe we can play a role in creating wider distribution for existing talent, and in helping new artists get some exposure as well."
