Fandango to Appoint Christopher Cunningham as Vice President of Business Development
Cunningham Capitalizes on Seventeen Years of Experience in Business Development to Grow Current Fandango Partnerships, Develop New Relationships
LOS ANGELES, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Fandango (www.fandango.com), the nation's largest online and phone movie ticketing service, is naming Christopher Cunningham vice president of business development, Fandango president and CEO Art Levitt announced today.
In his new role, Cunningham will be responsible for overseeing all of Fandango's business development and corporate development initiatives, with a focus on syndication programs, mobile strategies and multi-platform distribution.
Cunningham brings to Fandango more than seventeen years of diverse experience in business development, strategic planning, corporate development and product management in digital entertainment, technology, and new media. Throughout his career, he has negotiated new media partnerships with numerous Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Yahoo! and Nielsen, as well as structured and managed content and distribution partnerships with broadcasters, studios and networks such as ABC, Sony and Comcast.
Cunningham most recently held the position of Vice President of Strategy & Product Development for YaYa Media, Inc., a leading interactive entertainment consultancy and agency. Prior to YaYa, he served as Vice President of Business Development for Wink Communications, Inc., a leader in interactive television services. Previously, he was Director of Business Development for DVR pioneer, ReplayTV, Inc, and has also held senior management positions with OpenTV, Inc. and Silicon Graphics, Inc.
Cunningham earned his master's of business administration in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Mayer Scholar, and a bachelor's of science in Psychology with High Distinction from Duke University.
