Latitude Consulting Group Acquires Novations Learning Technologies

Latitude Consulting Group Acquires Novations Learning Technologies Latitude expands its e-business expertise with e-learning platform and services SALINE, Mich., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Latitude Consulting Group, Inc., an e-business consultancy, has further strengthened its position within the technology consultancy industry with the acquisition of Novations Learning Technologies (NLT), a pioneer in developing online learning solutions and subsidiary of Boston-based Novations Group, Inc. Founded in 1995 as Strategic Interactive before being acquired by Novations Group in 2002, NLT has built its reputation on providing leading- edge, on-line performance improvement and learning management systems (LMS) that enable organizations to manage their training and certification programs more efficiently and cost-effectively. NLT has developed large-scale, web- based systems for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including Ford Motor Company and PepsiCo. Its most recent innovation, the Ready Solutions(TM) LMS platform, has greater scalability and integrates with existing enterprise systems. "This acquisition strategically complements Latitude's strength in building large-scale business partner portals and B2B applications that can handle complex business rules," said Jeff Walter, president of Latitude Consulting Group. "One of the strengths of the Ready Solutions LMS platform is its scalability and ability to integrate with a company's complicated training requirements or certification processes without significantly reengineering the platform. The ability to scale up to 500,000 users allows Ready Solutions to extend globally throughout a business. This acquisition represents a huge step in the growth of our business and its capabilities -- in the automotive marketplace, where both companies have enviable expertise, and in other attractive industries." With the acquisition of NLT, Latitude Consulting Group has more than doubled its revenue and its pool of consulting talent. Revenue in 2005 is expected to grow by an additional 20% as the economy continues to rebound. LMS spending by corporations and government institutions, currently estimated at 4.4 billion, is projected to grow to 11.5 billion by 2007. "Latitude Consulting Group has exceptional expertise in designing and developing large-scale business applications and strong project management capabilities," says Ed Wierman, senior vice president of Novations Group, Inc. "The existing client base will easily transition to working with the Latitude team and are poised for improved support and added value to their applications." Latitude will continue to operate out of its Saline offices and will continue to provide a full range of e-business consulting services for their clients to increase productivity and lower costs.
