CARE Tsunami Relief Fund Raising Event Announces Line Up MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A tsunami relief fund raising event will take place at Up Front Event Center in Brooklyn Center, MN on January 21st and 22nd from 3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. The event, called CARE, Christian Artists Relief Efforts, has been organized by Dan Koopmans, a concerned American who felt called to take action to do as much possible for the tsunami relief effort. "The outpouring of support has been a true blessing," said Dan Koopmans, the event organizer. "As a local musician my instinct was to organize an event that could gather people and raise money while providing community around this mind-numbing event. Donation stations for the International Red Cross, Salvation Army, Samaritans Purse and other established relief organizations will be on site to accept direct donations. Proceeds from food and beverage sales will be divided among the relief agencies. Sales from donated Christian music CD's and other merchandise will be paid directly to the purchaser's relief agency of choice. CD's will sell for $10 and three for $25. All entertainment and administration work is volunteered. The Up Front Event Center is an all ages entertainment and event center that presents local, regional and national bands, solo artists, comedy and special theatrical performances.
