Update - Los Angeles McDonald's(R) Restaurants Launch Local World Children's Day Fundraising Efforts WHAT: Members of the U.S. Olympic Team will join Southern California McDonald's(R) restaurants to celebrate World Children's Day (WCD) -- the single largest global fundraiser benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) (RMHC) and other children's charities. Funds raised locally by more than 600 Southland McDonald's locations will benefit RMHC and its local chapters including Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Southern California (RMHCSC). By visiting a participating McDonald's restaurant between Nov. 18 to Nov. 20, Southland residents can join the worldwide effort to help children in need. McDonald's will donate 15 cents from the sale of every Extra Value Meal(R), Happy Meal(R) and Mighty Kids Meal(R) to RMHC and other local charities benefiting children. Customers can also participate in the Give A Hand fundraiser by purchasing a paper "hand" for $1 or $5 between Nov. 9 - 30.
