The Cleveland Indians Announce Launch of Enhanced Ticketing and Season Ticket Holder Initiatives 2005 Cleveland Indians Home Opener Tickets On Sale Fri., Nov 26 Via Ticketmaster Electronic Ticketing, Ticket Forwarding and Aftermarket TeamExchange Designed to Enrich Fan Experience CLEVELAND, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cleveland Indians and Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company, today announced the launch of state-of- the-art ticketing technology designed to add a new level of convenience to the season subscriber experience and enhance the value and ease of single ticket and package purchases. Ticketmaster will continue to sell single tickets to all Indians games and handle all season ticketing services. Tickets for the 2005 Cleveland Indians Home Opener are scheduled to go on sale Fri., Nov. 26 at 8:00 AM (ET). "We are completely dedicated to improving the quality of service here at Jacobs Field -- these new enhancements take ticketing to a whole new level," said Dennis Lehman, Executive Vice President, Business, Cleveland Indians Baseball. As part of the agreement, the Indians will be installing Ticketmaster's Archtics(R) ticketing platform, which supports the entry control system AccessManager. Allowing enabled venues to monitor entry traffic and validate tickets in real-time, AccessManager expedites replacement of lost tickets, eliminates wrong day event tickets and authenticates event admissions into Jacobs Field. Ticketmaster's new and enhanced ticketing programs for Cleveland Indians include: * AccountManager: Creates a powerful online gateway for season ticket holders to manage their accounts and tickets through indians.com. AccountManager provides a richer season ticket experience by enabling subscribers to update account information, receive personalized notifications from the team and sell or email tickets to others using the ticketFast, Ticket Forwarding and TeamExchange technologies. * Ticket Forwarding: Allows season ticket holders to maximize use of their tickets by forwarding tickets they are unable to use to family, friends or clients electronically -- even at the last minute. Once the tickets have been forwarded through email, the user simply downloads and prints their tickets using Ticketmaster's ticketFast technology. * ticketFast(R): Gives friends, family or clients who receive forwarded tickets the ability to download and print their tickets at the click of a mouse. This added convenience saves fans the time and trouble of waiting for tickets through the mail or going to the box office to retrieve tickets at Will Call. ticketFast features Ticketmaster's barcoding technology, enabling the Indians to authenticate admission into Jacobs Field. The Cleveland Indians also intend to soon implement Ticketmaster's TeamExchange and GroupManager programs to provide greater ticketing ease and convenience for their fans. * TeamExchange: Creates a safe, secure, online marketplace for season ticket holders to sell tickets they are unable to use. Fans purchasing tickets through the Indians ticketExchange marketplace would receive tickets through email via ticketFast, complete with a new and unique barcode for entry. The season ticket holder's original tickets will be cancelled and invalidated and the team will credit the season ticket holder's account. Utilizing Ticketmaster's TeamExchange product, the Indians' ticketExchange would ensure a guaranteed and authenticated electronic transaction between season ticket holders and Indians fans. * GroupManager: Designed to enable online scheduling management of all aspects of large and small group outings to games. From inviting attendees, to sending event tickets via email, Group leaders can quickly and easily organize events, deliver tickets and collect payments electronically. "By adopting Ticketmaster's suite of products, the Indians are embracing the future of online integrated ticketing and marketing solutions," said Tim Snyder, general manager, Ticketmaster Cleveland. "Our completely automated ticketing system will help the Indians provide a high level of customer service, giving season ticket holders unparalleled access and control of their tickets, along with the freedom to make the most of their season ticket investment."
