Arrow Star Katrina Law Kicks Off Year Eight of EDGE Magazine

'Intelligent Design' Issue explores all that's smart about New Jersey

ELIZABETH, N.J., March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Don't mess with Katrina Law. The brains, brawn and beauty of the South Jersey native have created indelible characters on two CW hit television series. Law's breakout role in Spartacus positioned her for her current role on the superhero series, Arrow. Robert Piper's EDGE interview with the multi-talented Law traces her "training" for action roles back to high school. Who better then to grace the cover of EDGE Magazine's 'Intelligent Design' issue?

"I ran track and played soccer," Law recalls, adding, "I was also a cheerleader, a dancer, and I lifted weights. I'm naturally aggressive which gives me an advantage in this category of acting." A graduate of South Jersey's Stockton College, Law enrolled with an eye on a Marine Biology degree, but, after a plum role in a summer stock production of A Chorus Line, she switched majors to Theater.

Now in its eighth year, EDGE is a health and lifestyle magazine published by Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Its print version reaches more than 75,000 households while its digital version, www.edgemagonline.com, boasts a vibrant internet presence.

Several other stories explore New Jersey's culture of creativity and achievement. "Modern Love" profiles James and Tina Wissel of Westfield, co-owners of Pure Couture, whose passion for design led them to build their breath-taking 4,000 sq. ft. home. Shot there, the fashion layout, "Design Angle," features their latest apparel.

In "Miracle Workers"--the lead story in the Healthy EDGE section--Chris Gibbs reviews the biggest medical breakthroughs of 2015, and previews those that promise to make headlines in 2016. Bill Mehlman's offering, "Thought Provoking," looks at how emerging smart technologies are likely to change our lives...and ponders whether they will actually make us smarter.

New Jersey's diverse and remarkable food culture is also front and center in these pages. Some of the smartest chefs in the Northeast are creating memorable dining experiences in our little slice of suburbia. A restaurant crawl brings Helen Lippman through Montclair in "Foreign Service," while restaurant reviewer Andy Clurfeld invites readers to Seoulville in Somerville, where Brian Kim serves up an intriguing twist on Korean cuisine.

EDGE Magazine is published by Trinitas Regional Medical Center, reaching over 300,000 readers in central New Jersey. For photos and more information contact Doug Harris at (908) 994-5138. EdgeMagOnline.com.
