SkyCam to Unveil New Wildcat Aerial Camera System at 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on FOX Sports 1
DENVER, July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --SkyCam, LLC (SkyCam), the global leader in aerial camera systems, today announced it will introduce its new Wildcat system, the next-generation in aerial camera technology, at the 2015 AT&T Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 29 at 9 p.m. ET. Viewers who tune into the game, which will air on FOX Sports 1 from Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado - a northern suburb of Denver, will be entertained with the world's most advanced and engaging camera footage of live action sports.
Following a multi-million investment program to further upgrade SkyCam's already groundbreaking aerial camera platform, the Wildcat system blends the best in engineering, automation and broadcast technology, creating the world's most advanced and flexible aerial camera system. The 4-axis stabilized Wildcat system delivers amazing picture quality, while its open architecture allows for many different payload options to be flown safely in the space the system spans. With the capability of moving at speeds in excess of 25 miles per hour, the light weight and compact Wildcat camera system can both exceed the speed of play and provide viewers at home with breathtaking views.
"Thanks to our relationship with MLS and FOX, fans across the country will now be able to enjoy SkyCam when they tune in to the MLS All-Star Game," said Endre Buxton, President and CEO, SkyCam. "They will be the first to see the unparalleled footage of the action on the pitch delivered via our new Wildcat system. We're taking our trailblazing platform to a new level, following a multimillion dollar investment, which has further expanded our fleet and upgraded our aerial camera capabilities. Sports enthusiasts watching from home will see an even more stable, rich and varied stream of footage, building on the incredible viewing experience they have come to expect from SkyCam."
"The footage from aerial cameras, especially the SkyCam system, makes a live action event appear even bigger, in addition to giving viewers thrilling and dynamic angles. We look forward to continuing to work with our friends at SkyCam as we kick off another exciting year of football, both college and the NFL," said Michael Davies, Senior Vice President of Field and Technical Operations, FOX Sports.
On Tuesday, July 28, in advance of the MLS All-Star Game, SkyCam will showcase its revolutionary Wildcat system to broadcasters at Dicks Sporting Goods Park - home of the Colorado Rapids.
Following the MLS All-Star Game, SkyCam will roll-out the new Wildcat technology to a wide range of major professional and collegiate sporting events throughout the year, including the 2016 Super Bowl - i.e. Super Bowl 50, which will be broadcast by CBS from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 7, 2016; CBS' Thursday Night Football; NBC's Sunday Night Football; National Football League (NFL) games in the United Kingdom, including the groundbreaking Yahoo live-stream event this October; the 2015 National Hockey League (NHL) Winter Classic; and ESPN, CBS, FOX and NBC's College Football games, among others. WildCat will also be utilized by Rogers Media to cover the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks' home games.
