WideOrbit WO Automation for Radio Integrates with NextRadio® powered by TagStation®

Provides simplified solutions for delivering enhancements and interactivity to the consumer radio experience

INDIANAPOLIS, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TagStation(®), LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emmis Communications Corporation, announced today that its TagStation(®) service is fully integrated with the latest release of WideOrbit's WO Automation for Radio solution. The integration with TagStation(®), the back end of NextRadio, provides broadcasters running WO Automation for Radio with a seamless technical experience for enhancing advertising campaigns, offers interactive programming, and generates listener/market metrics and analytics. The simplified integration also eliminates the need to implement middleware that traditionally creates additional setup and management costs for broadcasters.

Users of the combined solution will be able to deliver album artwork, station schedule content and other interactive elements directly to the NextRadio(®) app via TagStation(®). More than 2.6 million radio listeners use the NextRadio(®) app to listen to, watch and interact with content from local radio stations on their mobile devices. Over 3,200 radio stations run their stations with WideOrbit's WO Automation for Radio platform.

"Integrating NextRadio(®) with WideOrbit's comprehensive media management platform makes it simple for any station to create and deliver enhanced content to listeners," said Paul Brenner, President, NextRadio(®). "It's important to make it as easy as possible for stations to create enhanced mobile-ready content without being concerned about satisfying system requirements. WideOrbit's leadership in automation and investment in this integration is a big step for TagStation(®) and the industry."

"We are pleased to be the first media management platform to integrate with NextRadio(®) powered by TagStation(®)," said Eric R. Mathewson, Founder and CEO of WideOrbit, "and we are supportive of the TagStation(®) technology that should help our clients drive revenue and efficiencies."
