Panelists include: Oscar winner and DreamWorks animator Ken Museth, Joey Teran, Visual Effects Engineer of the blockbuster movie Frozen.

LOS ANGELES, May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SAVE THE DATE for the 4(th) annual Choice Group fundraiser gala www.choicegroupinc.org. The evening will celebrate the youth's work and the parents who support Choice Group's New Media Arts Program. This year's event is scheduled for 10/22 at the Annenberg Community Beach House.

On April 23, 2015, fifty-eight students from Inglewood Middle Charter Academy gathered for Non-profit organization, Choice Group Inc.'s(CGI)2015 Inaugural 3D Art Summit. This occasion, set in the beautifully sculpted Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles California brought CGI and its partner ICEF together to stimulate and inspire the minds of its youth. As a part of Choice Group's partnership with ICEF, Inglewood Middle Academy students are enrolled in Choice Group's 3D Game Design Program. Placing emphasis on STEM & New Media Arts education in underserved communities afforded a great treat for these students.

This two-part summit first yielded a short tour of the Skirball Center illustrating the use of 3D art within the architectural industry followed by Choice Group's "Chat Series". This series, produced by Founder and Creative Director Dana Hammond, is offered three times throughout the school year. With the vision of marrying STEM education with building 3D Video Games, Mr. Hammond invited a panel of successful industry professionals to explain and demonstrate the importance of math and science within a career path that involves Aerospace, Engineering, Film and Television industry.

Opening with an inspirational talk from Billionaire PA, motivational speaker and entrepreneur, the students were challenged to speak success and wealth, into their future. The panel session, moderated by Daniel Steven, CEO of FiveBySeven Entertainment ensued with Oscar winner andDreamWorks animator Ken Museth, professional, Marlene Sharp, animation Director and director of development at RHG Entertainment,Stanley Osher, UCLA professor of Mathematics and Joey Teran, visual effects engineer of the blockbuster movie Frozen, Rene Saquic, game designer and CGI instructor, and Phillip Lelyveld, Program Manager at USC Entertainment Technology Center, School of Cinematic Arts. Each panelist showcased their work with a two minute video presentation of films, television shows, 3D Character Design, and mathematical explanations of the production of their work. Mike Weck of Seven X Films "challenged the students to embrace and take advantage of the opportunities afforded to them by CGI". The enthusiasm in the room was undeniable; for two hours these 7(th) graders sat attentively and throughout the presentation.

Following the chat with the professionals there was a moment of Q&A where the students had the opportunity to ask thought provoking questions of the professionals. One student asked about the offering of internships similar to "a day in the life of an industry professional". Another student stated he had a television show idea.
