Century Soldiers: A Film Series About Russian Anti-Semitism in the 1800s
This trilogy describes the enlistment of young Jewish boys into the Russian army and the attempts to eradicate Judaism in the country.
NEW YORK, May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- More than a century before Hitler's Holocaust, rampant anti-Semitism in Russia was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Jewish boys.

The Russian army forced pre-teenage Jewish boys to enlist and be baptized into the Russian Orthodox faith. These young boys were starved and tortured unless they complied, and many died en route to the battlefields. It was a systematic and premeditated sanitizing of an entire religion.
The Century Soldiers Trilogy is a film series that describes this genocide in graphic detail. "It is a story that has never been told," says Arsen Uvaydov of New York, producer of the trilogy. "This is a story that not only illuminates the past, but one that has a profound effect on the present and foreseeable future.
"When I read this script for the first time, I realized that we have to share this story with the rest of the world."
The Century Soldiers Trilogy is the epic story of three generations of Russian Jewish freedom fighters. Many of them became the fiercest soldiers to ever don a Russian uniform.
"Our three-part series illustrates the first days where small boys were loaded onto horse-driven carts, ripped away from their towns and villages and marched hundreds of miles through the harshest winters," says Uvaydov. "They achieved heroics on the battlefields, established new communities, and had monuments erected in their honor.
"After 25 to 30 years of having their faith literally beat out of them, they then returned to Judaism, built communities, and stood as testaments of strength and devotion to those around him."
Although much of the trilogy has been completed, additional funding is needed to finish this ambitious project and then successfully market the films. The budget for this is estimated at $238,000.
In order to generate this capital, Uvaydov has launched a Kickstarter campaign, which can be viewed at www.kickstarter.com/projects/508805085/century-soldiers.
Donations of any amount are welcome. For $10, backers will receive a digital download of one film from the trilogy. A digital download of all three films is available for a $30 contribution.
For a $100, pledge you can get DVDs of the trilogy plus your name in the film credits.
