PBS, OVBD and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families will share video content which PBS will use to produce a film highlighting successful veteran-owned small businesses that have benefited from SBA resources and programs on multi-media channels (web platforms, television, print).
The communities will be featured during National Veterans Small Business Week in November, 2015. Community Challenge efforts may include local businesses encouraging larger corporations choose veteran-owned small businesses in their supply chains, outreach to and commitments from community lenders to support veteran access to capital, and public recognition and support of local veteran-owned small businesses.
This event is one of several to be held during National Small Business Week. This year's theme is "Dream Big, Start Small."
