YouTube Series Explores Innovative Startup Cities

Four-Episode YouTube Series Examines Private Economic Zones That Could Transform the Developing World

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today Reason TV and the Moving Picture Institute released a four-episode YouTube series about the revolutionary "startup city" concept. Startup cities are politically autonomous, privately run economic zones that operate within existing countries' borders.

Shot on location in Honduras by co-producers Zach Weissmuller and Ross Kenyon, the series features interviews with key figures in the startup city movement, investigates potential pitfalls, and examines the positive change these cities could create around the globe.

Episode III delves into the history of the Honduran ZEDEs and highlights skeptics' concerns. Episode IV focuses on entrepreneurs who hope to create the first Honduran startup city.
