Bub City To Host Second Annual Windy City Smokeout July 11 - 13

Tickets to the premiere BBQ and Country Music Festival in the Midwest now on sale

CHICAGO, June 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bub City's second annual Windy City Smokeout will return this summer on Friday, July 11 - Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Grand Street and the Chicago River. More than 10,000 guests per day are expected to come down to this year's Festival to taste BBQ offerings from some of the best pitmasters in Chicago and around the country all while enjoying a lineup of live country music. In addition to bringing together the best of live country music, beer and BBQ, Windy City Smokeout is also adding two all-new experiences to this year's Festival lineup including Saturday pitmaster classes taught by some of the nation's best BBQ masters and a Sunday brunch to round out the weekend.

The Bub City team has pulled together the best in BBQ for this year's festival, uniting local Chicago joints like Smoque, Lillie's Q, Chicago Q, and of course Bub City with BBQ restaurants from across the nation such as the Northeast's Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Pappy's Smokehouse from St. Louis, Driftwood, Texas' The Salt Lick, and world champion pitmaster Myron Mixon's Jack's Old South in Braselton, GA.

New to Windy City Smokeout this year, is an exclusive preview to experience the inner-workings of the Smokeout. Attendees can sign up to meet, greet and taste with hands-on pitmaster classes on Saturday, July 12. The class gives guests the opportunity to learn BBQ tips, tricks and secrets straight from the experts. Also new to this year's Festival is a special BBQ brunch that will be hosted on Sunday, July 13 beginning at 10 a.m. For $45, festival goers can experience a brunch menu comprised of special dishes from each of the participating restaurants, plus signature BBQ sides paired with Bub City's famous Bloody Mary Bar and mimosas.

In addition to the amazing BBQ, Windy City Smokeout also brings an impressive lineup of award-winning country music stars and up-and-coming musical talent catering to bonafide fans of country music and concert goers alike. The lineup was coordinated in partnership with Ed Warm, partner of Bub City and owner of Joe's Bar on Weed St. Festival headliners include: ACM Awards New Artist of the Year nominee Brett Eldredge on Friday, July 11, ACM Awards Top Vocal Group of the Year nominee Randy Rogers Band on Saturday, July 12 and Grammy-nominated Eli Young Band on Sunday, July 13. Additional performances include Josh Abbott Band and Chase Rice, as well as emerging country talent who will take the stage throughout the weekend.

100 ticketholders per day have the opportunity to experience Windy City Smokeout as a VIP. The $100 VIP ticket is inclusive of BBQ sampling throughout the day and also includes access to an elevated location next to the performance stage, access to private restrooms and a private cash bar.

The hours for Windy City Smokeout are: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 11, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 13.
