Vme TV and Hispanicize 2014 Join Forces to Highlight the Best and the Brightest of the Hispanic American Community

MIAMI, Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Vme TV, the only national Spanish-language television network affiliated with public television stations, announces its partnership with Hispanicize 2014, the largest annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, journalism, advertising, public relations, film, music and innovation. The two organizations will come together to highlight Hispanic pioneers and community leaders during Hispanicize 2014, taking place in Miami, Florida April 1-4, 2014.

Unlike any other event in the country, Hispanicize brings together the nation's top Hispanic leaders and entrepreneurs from a broad spectrum of industries to participate in a series of panels and events. Throughout the week, Vme TV will be on site capturing the event's highlights and focusing on Latinos who are making a positive impact in the U.S. and beyond.

"We are extremely proud of partnering with the Hispanicize team on this project," said Vme TV SVP for Corporate Strategy Victor Cerda. "Hispanicize 2014 is the place where success and inspiration in the Latino community converges and is celebrated. Vme will be there to capture our Latino accomplishments and broadcast them across the nation with the goal of inspiring our future Latino leaders."

Vme TV's Hispanicize 2014 coverage will be focused on the event's Positive Impact Awards, an awards ceremony that salutes everyday Latinos who go above and beyond the call of duty to give back to their community. The 2014 awards winners will be featured in a network special that will broadcast on Vme TV nationwide. The program will also highlight this year's Latinovator award recipients including singer/musician Sheila E., Cuban dissident blogger Yoani Sanchez, and award-winning NPR journalist Maria Hinojosa.

"Having the support of Vme TV, which shares our ideals and vision of higher quality programming for Hispanics, is a great opportunity to expand our reach and disseminate the message that all Latinos can make a difference," said Manny Ruiz, organizer and creative director of Hispanicize 2014.

This venture complements the network's key pillars and values, which emphasize the importance of providing the U.S. Hispanic population with enriching and inspirational content that promotes upward mobility in the community. This alliance is the latest in a series of Vme TV efforts to engage Latinos and provide resources for the advancement of Latinos. Similar partnerships have been formed with organizations including ASPIRA, the United States Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) and the Hispanic Heritage Youth Foundation, among others.
