Support for Media Arts and Art Films in Montréal


The Government of Canada supports the International Festival of Films on
Art (FIFA)



MONTREAL, Feb. 25, 2014 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada has is
providing $90,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for the 32(nd) edition of FIFA, which will take place from March 20 to 30. Minister of
Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover made the
announcement today.



These funds will allow FIFA to present the world's best media arts
productions and art films. The Media Arts section will present a number
of experimental art films. In addition to the screening of films and
videos, there will be conferences, roundtables, and the production of a
catalogue.

-- FIFA's size and unique character make it one of Quebec's
largest cultural events.
-- Its 32nd edition will include nearly 300 art films from some 30
countries in six different sections that include an
international panorama as well as tributes and views on cinema.

festival-goers.
