RayOLightMedia in conjunction with Complete Films and H&H Productions are raising funds to produce the epic movie - The Other Side of Frances and they are offering equity positions in the film as well.
This movie features a 14-year old Frances Ayee, born into a family of a noted Jamaican Preacher. Her comforting innocence became a nightmare when Lloyd, a hard-flavored man, forced himself into her life. Violated and threatened with certainty of death to her family, this ill-fated girl is thrust into a world of confused voices and turbulent measures.
She was unable to confront her attacker. She was helplessly searching for support from her father but found herself being pitted against the church's foundry - the moral code. This turned out to be a total dismay to her and her mother when the sanctity of the church wins out. She is whisked off to Toronto to live with her estranged aunt. As virtuous and delicate as the flowers she held, poor Frances gave birth to her son as a result of that startling halt.
The Other Side of Frances greatly tells a tale of redemption and hope as this vilified, forsaken young girl embarks on a redemptive journey to regain the one thing that will make her life complete. This movie entails the struggle faced by women in the 21(st) century, reflecting the strength and determination that enables women to be strong, take a stand to fight for justice and equality, and to withhold against antiquated value systems. It brings to light the plight of women and the necessity for change.
Music has always been a factor that reflects cultural and societal issues. The Other Side of Frances is also a tribute to Reggae and Hip Hop music which has always been a brink of social change in Jamaica.
Executives at Universal Pictures have also expressed an interest in potentially marketing and distributing The Other Side of Frances with a major theatrical release.
Film is the greatest medium that the world has ever known. The future success of this epic production is something that people can all share and celebrate.
RayOLightMedia, together with Indiegogo Funding Campaign, invites interested investors to join in on this theatrical venture and play a key part bringing The Other Side of Frances to life!
