QVC Names Gregg Bertoni CEO of QVC Italy

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC, the global leader in video and eCommerce retail, today announced the appointment of Gregg Bertoni to CEO of QVC Italy, effective January 1, 2014. Bertoni will succeed Steve Hofmann, who has been holding dual roles as CEO of QVC Italy and CEO of QVC Europe since May 2012. This position will leverage Bertoni's experience and leadership in the Italian market, and allow Hofmann to focus on other European countries and market development opportunities.

Bertoni has experience as a QVC leader in three global markets: the U.S., the U.K. and Italy. Since May 2012, Bertoni has served as Chief Merchandising Officer, QVC Italy, with responsibility for overall commerce operations spanning marketing, merchandising, planning, programming, eCommerce, quailty assurance, and TV sales and operations. Prior to this, Bertoni was VP of Merchandising in Italy, and was one of the first executives engaged in the market. Under Bertoni's leadership, QVC Italy developed a compelling merchandise assortment, driving high levels of customer loyalty.

Bertoni first joined QVC US in 1995. In 2002, he transferred to QVC UK, where he took on roles of increasing responsibility in merchandising, including interim Director of Merchandising.
