Our Energy Future Topic For Weekend Of Activities At COSI

Energy Weekend Kicks Off November 1 with World-Renowned Energy Expert

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- COSI explores energy with a weekend of activities November 1 - 3, 2013. The weekend opens with a special appearance from world-renowned energy expert, Dr. Scott Tinker, who will show his film Switch, the acclaimed agenda-free energy documentary that has been embraced across political lines. On Saturday, November 2, 2013 and Sunday, November 3, 2013, COSI guests of all ages can meet scientists and engineers working to secure our energy future and try out hands-on activities about producing, conserving, and using energy.

Energy Science Weekend is in conjunction with the recent opening of COSI's brand-new exhibition area, Energy Explorers, a hands-on, interactive exhibition focusing on how energy powers the world around us - from the transportation we take, to the products we buy, to the ways we live and work.

"With the opening of Energy Explorers this past summer, we have a unique and fascinating platform to delve into one of our strategic areas of focus, energy and environment, and engage our visitors in activities regarding how they can use energy in more efficient ways," said David E. Chesebrough, Ed.D., president and CEO of COSI. "Energy is an important topic that affects all of our lives. Connecting our audience with scientists, engineers, and experts in the field of energy helps our community better understand how the choices we make impact our world."
