TMS and Verizon Enter New Agreement Making It Even Easier for FiOS TV Customers to Discover New Content on TVs and Connected Devices

CHICAGO, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TMS, the international leader in entertainment navigation, and Verizon, the global leader in delivering innovation in communications, information and entertainment, have entered into a new agreement under which Verizon will use a range of TMS products in FiOS TV entertainment guides available across multiple platforms. This effort makes it even easier for Verizon FiOS customers to find and watch the entertainment they're most interested in whether it's on linear TV, on demand or online and whether they're at home or on the go.

Verizon will use TMS solutions to power all of its FiOS TV entertainment platforms from set top boxes, to PCs, tablets and other mobile devices. This covers all FiOS TV entertainment fronts from Live TV guide data to Flex View services. Flex View allows Verizon customers to buy or rent popular TV shows and movies on their set top boxes and across a variety of Internet-connected devices.

"Verizon is a proven innovator and we're pleased to be working with them as they make entertainment content available to their subscribers on any platform at any time," said John Kelleher, President and Chief Operating Officer of TMS. "We're confident that use of TMS' world-class information in FiOS TV guide products will enable advanced entertainment discovery and increased engagement among Verizon subscribers, ultimately leading to increased consumption of their services."

TMS data powers the leading television and movie guide products which reach millions of consumers in 40 countries through clients including Microsoft, Google, TiVo, Comcast, IMDb, Virgin Media UK, Com Hem, DIRECTV Latin America, SKY Brasil and Cablevision Mexico.

With more than 50,000 Video On Demand (VOD) movies and TV shows available each month, Verizon's FiOS TV offers more VOD choices than any of its cable competitors and a wide variety of channels that can be watched on a growing number of Internet-connected devices. Verizon customers also enjoy the Internet at speeds many times faster than the national average and have the option of six speed tiers from which to choose.
