This is the tenth consecutive year BV wines have been featured at the Emmy celebrations and the eighth year Beaulieu Vineyard has been the proud Official Wine Sponsor of the Television Academy. BV wines will also be featured at the Creative Arts Emmy® celebrations on September 15, 2013, and each guest at both galas will receive a parting gift of BV Napa Cabernet to enjoy at home.
This year's decor theme - Enchanted Forest - will feature 2009 BV Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and 2011 Beaulieu Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay poured to complement award-winning Patina Catering Chef and Founder Joachim Splichal's culinary menu. In addition to the wines selected to be served tableside, dedicated wine lovers can sample a range of limited edition Beaulieu Vineyard wines at the thematic central wine bar, as they stroll and enjoy a night of enchantment and celebration.
"At BV, my team and I pride ourselves on making the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in America. Since 1936, Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has been poured for presidents and princes and we are delighted to toast the cream of American talent with our 2009 - an outstanding vintage," said Jeffrey Stambor, Director of Winemaking for Beaulieu Vineyard. "I have no doubt our wines will impress the Hollywood elite gathered to attend the largest, seated, formal event in North America."
BV Georges de Latour was the first private reserve Cabernet produced in America and has been a benchmark in California winemaking since the first vintage in 1936. Named for the winery founder, it is the most eagerly anticipated wine produced by Beaulieu Vineyard. The 2009 vintage marks the 73(nd) year that this premier American reserve wine has been produced.
