Show co-hosts Laila Ali, Jenna Morasca and Ethan Zohn bring audiences an inspiring story of people who have been affected by a health crisis and are now delivering a message of hope and healing to others. Whether it's surprising a cheerleading squad for children with disabilities with an appearance from one of their celebrity idols, or coordinating a Flash Mob to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis, the Everyday Health team is there to make these dreams come true.
"We are thrilled to receive industry recognition that our health content makes an impact on multiple platforms including television," explained Mike Keriakos, Executive Producer and Co-Founder/President, Everyday Health. Everyday Health began as a digital company and this program is the company's first foray into television.
"It's a thrill to be nominated and a testament to the incredible every day Americans we had a chance to celebrate in the show who are working tirelessly to improve the lives of those in need across America," said Executive Producer Mark Koops. "The hosts Laila, Ethan and Jenna and our partner Everyday Health are the embodiment of this spirit and we hope the show encourages everyone that they too can make a real difference in their communities."
"The show embodies the strength of the human spirit and demonstrates how one person can make a world of difference," explained Ethan Zohn. Jenna Morasca continued, "It has been rewarding and truly uplifting to hear from all the Everyday Health fans. To me, they are so much more than fans of our now Emmy-nominated show; they are change makers in their own ways! They have been inspired by our show to pay it forward and many have launched local chapters in their own communities to continue to make change. Hosting this show has been rewarding for me and Ethan on numerous levels, and I cannot wait to see the incredible ripple effect."
The show is based on the mission of the popular website of the same name. EverydayHealth.com/TV provides additional health resources, inspiration and information to supplement each program and help people choose well, every day.
