Eyes on the Go, Inc. Installs GANDER.tv at the Yippie Museum and The Sidewalk Cafe -- Two New York Greenwich Village Institutions
BROOKLYN, N.Y., May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Eyes on the Go, Inc. (AXCG.PK) announced today that they implemented the GANDER.tv streaming video service at The Yippie Museum which is a foundation of counter culture in New York's Greenwich Village. Yippie regularly hosts political figures, other city and national leaders along with regular performances from local music groups and open mic nights. According to Megan Hayes, the Events Coordinator, "As one of the last bastions of activism in the East Village, Gander has helped us promote the causes that drive us. Through their streaming services we are able to reach more of the nation's activist community than ever before."
Michael McKenna, the Director for the Yippie Museum adds, "We have many acts from out of town if not out of country. Having the ability to reliably stream live video is a great selling point. The bands are thrilled that friends and family back home can tune-in. We recently added the Gander link (http://beta.gander.tv/venue/yippie-museum) to our Facebook page to promote our fundraising drive. Sending people to such a professional website helped add credibility to our cause and we had donations come in from the West Coast that would not have been possible without Gander."
Eyes also implemented the GANDER.tv system at The Sidewalk Cafe, another well-known institution in New York's East Village that fosters a great environment for creative expression. Sidewalk played a huge role in the Anti-folk movement in the 80's and 90's. "Streaming live performances with Gander.tv allows for both our regular customers to see what's going on in our venue when they can't be here as well as provide new customers, who don't know what Sidewalk Cafe is all about, the ability to see what happens. Even more importantly though, is our ability with the GANDER.tv system to offer Pay-Per-View of some of the one-of-a-kind events is truly priceless." remarked Liam Wager, General Manager of Sidewalk Cafe.
Liam added, "What I appreciate the most about streaming live events, is the ability for people who aren't from NYC to find, listen to, watch, and understand the incredible offerings of this city which are unique to the world. The Gander.tv library is going to be an amazing sampling of what NYC has to offer."
