Donald Trump Kicks Off The Rose Brucia National Stranger Safety PSA Campaign

ISLANDIA, N.Y., May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Donald J. Trump, real estate mogul, author, billionaire and host of the hit NBC show, "The Celebrity Apprentice" is joining forces with The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation to help educate children on stranger safety. Beginning May 25, the "I Practice Stranger Safety" 45-second PSA featuring Mr. Trump will air on television stations across the nation.

"Stranger abduction is one of the fastest growing crimes in our nation," said Mr. Trump. "We need to proactively teach our children what to do if such a situation arises. The Rose Brucia Stranger Safety Awareness Program is a terrific educational tool that parents and teachers can use to teach children the do's and don'ts of stranger safety."

The Rose Brucia Stranger Safety Awareness Program is a free educational curriculum designed to provide vital, proactive stranger safety awareness techniques to elementary-aged children. The program includes single-concept video shorts in conjunction with suggested lesson plans, written by teachers, for teachers, to actively involve children in their own safety as it relates to strangers.

Matthew J. Barbis, founder of The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation, welcomes Mr. Trump's public support. "We are honored to have Mr. Trump kick-off this national campaign," he said. "Our goal is to provide every elementary school and home across the country with our free educational program. With a click of the mouse, educators and parents will have the tools they need to keep children safe."

CNBC anchor Sue Herera, who is the national spokesperson for the foundation, will be featured in the second PSA installment.
